A poem I wrote

This is a poem I wrote for my son after he passed away. Last year I sent it to a poerty company to have it published and yesterday I got a book in the mail with the poem in it. It's not the best by any means but it means alot to me. I hope you all like it.

Poem For ALex

I wish I could hear you laugh
I wish I that we could play
I wish I could see you smile
I wish I could hold you for one more day.

I Keep your photograph
It Reminds me of better days
But I Feel so lonesome now
I just want to take your place

I know you hear my prayers
I know you're with me when I cry
But I just can't help but ask God Why
I just wish my pain would go a away

My life hasn't been the same since you went away
I don't know how much more I can take
Then I see you in my dreams
That Helps me get through one more day

Loved that poem the first time that you shared it with me, and still love it. Very heartfelt. It shows the world how much you love that precious little boy. Good job lil bro.

Shoe, I have known you for a long time and didn't even know an ounce of the pain that you even might have been feeling when you lost Alex. Now that I am a father as well I could not imagine. Stay Strong buddy. Great poem by the way. I will share this with the wife as well. Brought tears to my eyes.

I don't mind saying that I am misty-eyed after reading your poem. Thank you for sharing it with everyone and, yes, it is perfect in every way, shape, and form. I could feel every word you wrote and I hope this post is never taken down and stays at the top of this forum for everyone to see and read.

Well I am glad you all enjoyed it. Being a parent is one the most rewarding things in life. To know that you and your other created a little miracle is awesome. Granted my son lived only 26hrs, I'm still as proud a dad now as I was then.

This is a wonderful poem. One can't help but feel tears when they read this. I am going to share this with my cousin who just lost her 4yr.old son. I am so sorry for your loss, only God knows the pain when someone loses a child.
